develop in our solution development process. Having participated in the
issue analysis, Ria masterfully provides structure to the potential
solutions, ensuring completeness of the focus and effort.
Having initially qualified as a Chemical
Engineer, Ria soon added an Industrial Engineering degree to her

Jan brings extensive business and
consulting experience to our clients. Having studied Philosophy at the
postgraduate level, he added a diploma in theology to his credentials,
followed by a Masters degree in Business Administration. During his time
at the University of Stellenbosch he was elected as the Chairperson of the
Student’s Representative Council.
Apart from a stint as a Minister in the
Dutch Reformed Church, Jan has worked for a major chemical company as a
training consultant where he was involved in assessment centres. He has

in the history of South Africa. Subsequently he worked, again at senior
management level for the largest transport utility in South Africa where,
amongst others, he was involved in negotiating changes to the Labour
Relations Act with the largest trade union in South Africa. As a result of
the changes taking place in the utility, he visited West Germany to gain
knowledge of the unification process between the West and East German
transport utilities. During his tenure at the transport utility he was
instrumental in establishing a social investment/equal opportunity program
for the organisation.
Jan subsequently ventured into politics
(amongst others as a Member of Parliament) where he gained invaluable
experience in portfolios such as finance, public accounts, trade and
industry, as well as arts and culture, while he also attended
international investment conferences and visited the parliaments of
several European countries
After a number of years in the political
arena the call of the business world became overwhelming and he consulted
to one of the premier banking institutions on strategic alignment, before
taking up a senior position in credit management, with active
participation in business planning and risk assessment of enterprises.
In the late 1990’s Jan began to
actively consult, covering areas such as Human Resource and business
strategy, strategic and competitive intelligence, business ethics and
corporate governance. He has in the recent past worked with clients in
chemicals, financial services, retail, fast moving consumer goods,
transportation and insurance industries.
Jan has spoken at numerous seminars on
strategy, organisational performance and corporate social responsibility.
As a Member of Parliament he often interacted with a wide range of

raising funds for the election.
